Boat railing pad size?
I see others using a rotary to polish and protect boat railings and am going to try this on mine. Used my Fein Multimaster with a thin felt pad on the flybridge railing and it did well with the Marine 31 metal polish and sealant. Am also buying some of the Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish. Don't know if it is better or worse or what the difference between it and the other two part product is. Just thinking that maybe my rotary or DA would be a little better than the Fein. I have the PE-14 for my rotary and the 3401 as a DA. Which to use and what size/type of pad? Is smaller better for the railings? 3"? Or is the 6.5" or so easier to control? Seems like I would have product flung everywhere! Any comments or techniques appreciated.
