Washing pads regularly with a pad washer or in the washing machine is key. I would never use a pad twice without washing it first.

I bought the rouge from menzerna and applied it with an airway medium cut pad. followed up by marine 31 metal polish applied with flex 3401 and foam polishing pad

Wool cuts better but foam finishes better. The whole concept of a cleaner wax is to be able to do the job in one step. Purple foamed wool finishes really nice but I have had issues with pads coming...
