Best way to clean instrument panel
What's the best way to clean my instrument panel (MFDs, Auto Pilot, Vessel Views, etc)? Any cleaners or protectants you recommend?

We just showcased a product from the McKee's 37 line on the interior of a Newmar Londeon Aire Motorcoach and while not a boat we also didn't want to screw up anyting expenseive in this really expensive RV on the dash. Here's a link to the store page about this episode, http://www.autogeek.net/competition-...son-2-ep2.html Here's the product we used, it's very safe for the surfaces you listed and that's what you want. http://www.autogeek.net/mckees-fast-...or-detail.html Here's my review and how-to for this product, some good info Review and How-to: McKee's 37 Fast Interior Detailer :) |

No problemo... I would also be sure to inspect your microfiber towels or ANY cloth you use to wipe plastic. Plastic scratches easy and it's often times very time consuming and difficult to remove scratches out of plastic. Especially if you don't have tons of equipment, pads and products on hand already. I cover this topic in my how-to book Paperback book - How To Detail Boats With Marine 31 by Mike Phillips http://www.marine31online.com/galler...Boat_Cover.jpg See the section on page 92 listed in the index http://www.marine31online.com/galler..._Index_006.jpg And way before you get to page 92 see the section I included on microfiber towels on pages 18, 19 and 20 http://www.marine31online.com/galler..._Index_002.jpg I wrote the sections on microfiber towels because I meet a lot of guys with scratched up plastic gauges and windows and it all comes down to What you TOUCH the plastic with And most guys don't pay attention or care until the damage is done. :) |
